Colorado is one of the small handful of states that does not gather information on K-12 facilities at the state level. Accordingly, the state does not know exactly how many buildings there are, muchless what condition they are in.
In an attempt to better understand conditions of K-12 schools across Colorado, the Foundation launched a wide-reaching assessment project in 2004, the results of which are in this website. Additionally, additional work and research since the initial project can be found here as well.

The Colorado State Accountability Report provides an "overall" assessment of how well Colorado students are performing on a variety of important education indicators including the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) scores, the Colorado Student Assessment Program (CSAP) scores, and high school graduation rates, to name a few. |
